500g Stork Baking Margarine
1 cup castor sugar
1 tsp ground cardamom
½ tsp nutmeg
1½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
3 cups flour
Unblanched split almonds as needed
Step by step method
- Preheat oven to 160ºC.
- Cut Stork Bake into cubes and place in a mixing bowl.
- Add the sugar and beat until light and creamy.
- Beat in the spices and bicarb.
- Sift in flour as needed to make a soft dough.
- Make marble size balls and place onto a baking tray â allow for spreading.
- Place a piece of almond on each of the balls.
- Bake for 20 - 22 minutes until lightly coloured.
- Remove tray from oven and leave biscuits on tray to cool.
- Store in airtight containers.
