Ingredients

Tart Ingredients

100g Stork Baking Margarine
1cup sugar
2tbsp smooth apricot jam
1cup yoghurt
2cups flour
1.5tsp bicarbonate of soda
0.5cup finely chopped/flaked almonds

Fudge Sauce Ingredients

200g Stork Baking Margarine
2tbsp smooth apricot jam
1cup sugar
1cup evaporated milk

Step by step method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. Cream Stork Bake and sugar, add jam and yoghurt and blend well.
  3. Sift in flour and bicarb.
  4. Mix and spoon into a 24cm round baking pan.
  5. Pour half of the prepared fudge sauce over mixture evenly.
  6. Sprinkle half of the almonds onto fudge sauce.
  7. Bake for 18 - 20 minutes.
  8. Pour remaining sauce over, scatter the remaining almonds and place in oven for 15 - 20 minutes or until well browned and cooked through.
  9. Slice and serve.
  10. Place Stork Bake, jam and sugar in a saucepan and heat until sugar dissolves.
  11. Add evaporated milk and cook for 3 - 4 minutes.
