Ingredients

Base ingredients

100g Stork Baking Margarine
140g sugar
1 beaten egg
2ml vanilla essence
180g wheat flour
10g baking powder
1g salt
60ml milk

Filling ingredients

1 tin caramel treat
5 bananas
25g sugar
25ml lemon juice
125g walnuts (optional)
0 whipped cream

Step by step method

  1. Cream Stork Bake margarine and sugar well, add the beaten egg and vanilla.
  2. Add the remaining sifted dry ingredients alternately with the milk and mix well.
  3. Grease 2 small flan tins or 1 large one.
  4. Pour the batter into the pan and bake at 180ºC for 15 - 20 minutes.
  5. Slice the bananas and sprinkle them with the lemon juice and sugar.
  6. Mix the bananas and caramel and spoon into cold flan case and smooth the top.
  7. Chill and decorate with whipped cream and nuts.
