Ingredients

Cake Ingredients

2 bananas, mashed
125g Stork Baking Margarine
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
1 ½ cups self-raising flour
1/4 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1/4 cup milk

To Decorate (optional)

A batch of Stork Cream icing or fresh cream & caramel treat.

Step by step method

  1. Preheat oven to 180ºC.
  2. Cream Stork Bake margarine and sugar very well, then add vanilla and egg, beating well.
  3. Dissolve the bicarbonate into the millk.
  4. Add the mashed bananas, then add the flour alternately with the milk.
  5. Pour into two greased 20cm pans and bake for 30 - 40 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
  6. Cool on a wire rack and ice with Stork Cream Icing or fresh cream and caramel treat.
