Cupcake ingredients

0 ½ quantity of cake recipe for the Princess Party cake (omit cocoa if you like)

Piglets Ingredients:

1 Pink and brown icing
1 Pink and white marshmallows
1 Black liquorice rope
0 Jelly beans

Chicks Ingredients:

0 Stork Cream icing, as white as possible
0 Black liquorice rope
0 Red liquorice
0 Yellow sprinkles
0 Red craft paper

Step by step method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Prepare the cake mix as described in the Princess Party recipe and fill the paper cups 3/4.
  3. Place white paper cups in the hollows of a muffin tray.
  4. Bake for about 20 minutes until done. Cool completely.
  5. Ice the cupcakes with pink icing.
  6. Cut the pink marshmallows in half and make snouts by placing half a marshmallow in the middle of each cake.
  7. Make nostrils with brown icing.
  8. Add a jelly bean for each mouth.
  9. Cut slices of black liquorice rope for the eyes (add a drop of pink icing in the middle of each if you like).
  10. Cut white marshmallows in half then snip into smaller bits to make ears.
  11. Ice the cupcakes with white icing.
  12. Cut a comb for each from red craft paper and push into the icing.
  13. Cover the surface with yellow sprinkles.
  14. Make eyes as for the piglets and cut red liquorice into triangles for the beaks.
