Ingredients

Main Method

500ml cake flour
20ml baking powder
3ml salt
25ml sugar
1 egg, beaten
375ml milk
50ml Stork Baking Margarine, melted
125ml chopped dates (or raisins)

Step by step method

  1. Sift the dry ingredients together.
  2. Beat the egg, milk and melted Stork Bake together.
  3. Add the egg and milk mixture and the chopped dates to the dry ingredients and mix just until well moistened.
  4. The mixture will still be lumpy. Do not over mix.
  5. Fill greased muffin trays two thirds full and bake at 200°C for 15 - 20 minutes or until an inserted skewer comes out clean.
