Ingredients

Base Ingredients

7g yeast
1 tsp (5ml) sugar
125ml warm water
4 cups wheat flour
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
125ml warm milk
125ml warm water
60ml Stork Baking Margarine, melted

Toppings Ingredients

1 tin tomato puree
Bacon, ham, cooked chicken pieces, anchovies or any other desired meat
Finely chopped onion
Slices of capsicum
Pineapple pieces or any other desired fillings
4 cups grated mozzarella cheese

Step by step method

  1. Mix the first three ingredients in a bowl, sprinkle with some flour and leave to froth.
  2. In another bowl, mix together the remaining ingredients and then add the yeast mixture.
  3. Stir with a spoon then turn onto a floured surface and knead for 5 minutes, adding a little flour if it is too sticky. The dough should be soft but not sticky.
  4. Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with cling wrap and a cloth and leave in a warm place to rise and double in size.
  5. Once risen, place on a floured surface and knock back and knead lightly.
  6. Divide into 6 equal pieces and roll each piece into a round shape about 5mm thick, and place them onto greased oven trays.
  7. Spread all the pizza rounds with the tomato puree using the back of a dessert spoon.
  8. Decorate with the desired toppings then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 180ºC until the edges are golden brown (about 15 minutes).
