2 cups sugar
2 cups coconut
2 cups oats
2 cups Rice Krispies
1½ cups flour
1 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
400g Stork Baking Margarine
2 tsp baking powder
1½ tsp bicarbonate of soda

Step by step method

  1. Cream Stork Bake, eggs and sugar together.
  2. Add all the dry ingredients except the Rice Krispies, which you add last.
  3. The dough is VERY soft so you must rest it in the fridge for at least ½ hour before using it.
  4. Roll into balls and space well apart as they spread.
  5. Flatten with the back of a floured teaspoon and decorate with a ¼ cherry.
  6. Bake at 180ºC till golden (15 - 20 mins).
  7. Cool and store in a airtight container; keeps well for about 2 weeks.
