1000g flour
600g Stork Baking Margarine
750g eggs
700g sugar
Vanilla essence
Egg yellow colour
20g baking powder
100ml milk

Step by step method

  1. Cream together the Stork Bake and sugar until pale and soft.
  2. Add eggs slowly, one at a time, beating well between each addition.
  3. Fold in remaining ingredients.
  4. Add milk slowly and mix in.
  5. Spoon into cake tin and level the surface.
  6. Bake in preheated oven at 160ºC for about an hour until golden brown and springy to the touch.
  7. Leave to cool in the tin for about 5 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to finish off the cooling.
