Ingredients
Bar Ingredients
125ml Stork Baking Margarine
250ml brown sugar, packed
5ml salt
2.5ml bicarbonate of soda
15ml lemon zest
375ml flour
250ml quick-cooking rolled oat
1can sweetened condensed milk
Icing Ingredients
500ml icing sugar
30ml Stork Baking Margarine, softened
15ml lemon zest
60ml lemon juice
Step by step method
- Cream together Stork Bake, sugar, salt and bicarbonate of soda.
- Blend in the remaining bar ingredients.
- Spread in a well-greased and floured 25 x 30 cm pan.
- Bake at 180°C for 20 - 25 minutes or until light golden brown.
- Combine all icing ingredients, and beat until smooth and creamy, adding more juice to make it a spreadable consistency.
- Drizzle the icing mixture over the bars while still hot.
- Allow to cool completely.
