1 cup basmati rice
3 cups water
4 green cardamom, peeled
30g Stork Baking Margarine
1 tbsp nibbed almonds
1 tbsp raisins
1 tbsp coconut
1 can condensed milk
1 tsp rose essence

Step by step method

  1. Combine rice with water and bring to a boil.
  2. Add cardamoms, lower heat and cook until the grains are tender and all the water has evaporated.
  3. Heat the Stork Bake and gently fry the almonds, raisins and coconut.
  4. Add fried ingredients with condensed milk to rice and mix in the essence.
  5. Serve as a dessert after Diwali dinner.
