Ingredients
Cobbler Ingredients
500ml flour
15ml baking powder
2ml salt
125ml castor sugar
75g Stork Baking Margarine
500ml cream
Filling Ingredients
500g apples, peeled, cored and cut into wedges
80ml soft brown sugar
100g Stork Baking Margarine
80ml orange juice
Step by step method
- Preheat oven to 190°C.
- Sift the flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl, stir in the castor sugar and rub in the Stork Bake using your fingertips until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
- Add the cream and stir until the mixture comes together.
- For the filling, combine the Stork Bake, sugar and orange juice in a pot over medium-high heat and simmer until the sugar has dissolved.
- Add the apples and cook, stirring, until caramelised.
- Line the base of the dish with the apples then spoon the mixture on top. Bake for 35 minutes.
