3 cups milk
2 cups sugar
250g Stork Baking Margarine
1½ cups cornflour
2 cups milk, extra
¼ cup rose water
½ tsp nutmeg
1 can condensed milk
½ cup glace cherries, halved
Step by step method
- Combine first measure of milk and sugar and bring to boil whilst stirring until the mixture is syrupy and thickened.
- Add Stork Bake and allow to melt.
- Mix corn flour with milk (extra).
- Pour cornflour mixture into the milky syrup and stir over moderate heat until it forms a thick mass.
- Add rest of ingredients, lower heat, continue stirring until the fat begins to separate from the mass.
- Transfer into a deep tray (or mould) to set.
