187.5g Stork Baking Margarine
165ml castor sugar
500ml cake flour
2ml salt
½ cup chopped raisins
1 tsp rum essence

Step by step method

  1. Cream the Stork Bake and castor sugar very well until light and fluffy.
  2. Add all the other ingredients and knead to a smooth dough.
  3. Pat into a square sausage 25cm long, wrap in greaseproof paper and refrigerate until firm.
  4. Cut into slices and place on a greased baking tray.
  5. Bake at 180ºC until golden. This should be about 15 - 20 minutes.
