Ingredients
Main Ingredients
1 batch Stork Beat 'n Bake Chocolate Cake
1 23cm square cake pan
1 30 cm silver cake board
1 6 hole muffin tray
1 batch vanilla Stork Cream Icing
Decorations
1tin Caramel Treat
1 slab of chocolate
1packet chocolate Chuckles
1packet army figures and vehicles
1 Different shades of green food colouring
1 Light brown food colouring
Step by step method
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Mix 1 batch of Stork Beat 'n Bake Cake and grease and line a 23cm square cake pan, and grease a 6 hole cupcake tray.
- Fill 4 of the cupcake holes 2/3 with Stork cake mix, and pour the rest of the mix into the lined cake tin.
- Bake the cupcakes for 15 minutes or until done, and the cake for 35 - 40 minutes or until done (skewer must come out clean). Turn onto a cake cooler to cool.
- When cool, using a sharp knife, slice the cake in half, to give 2 layers. Place the base of the cake in the centre of the cake board.
- Melt the slab of chocolate and beat together with the Caramel Treat.
- Spread the Caramel Treat on the cut side of the cake, then place the other half of the cake on top.
- Cut pieces off the 4 cupcakes so that they can stand on their sides, placing them back to back to form hills.
- Glue these on with remaining Caramel Treat mixture.
- Divide the vanilla icing into 4 equal portions. Colour them in different shades of green and a light brown.
- Fill a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle and pipe sections of colour onto the cake.
- Change the colour and pipe again until you have used the different colours and formed a camouflage design.
- Place the Chuckles around the base of the cake to edge it.
- Strategically place the army vehicles and figurines on and around the hills.
