Ingredients

250g Stork Baking Margarine
125ml white sugar
10ml vanilla essence
625ml flour, sifted
1 Pinch of salt
3ml baking powder
3ml ground mixed spice
5ml ground cinnamon/nutmeg
1 Brown sugar for rolling
Step by step method
- Cream the Stork Bake and white sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add the vanilla essence and mix well. Lastly add the sifted dry ingredients and work to form a stiff dough.
- Form the mixture into balls. Roll each ball in the brown sugar and then place them on a greased baking sheet.
- To flatten, press down with a fork or your thumb.
- Bake at 180°C for 15 - 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
