Ingredients

2 sheets Puff pastry
Basil pesto
Stork Country Blend, melted

Step by step method

  1. 1. Roll out the sheet of puff pastry into a rectangle.
  2. 2. Spread basil pesto evenly over the pastry.
  3. 3. Place another sheet of pastry on top, then cut the pastry into 8 strips.
  4. 4. Wind the strips into the shape of a tree, starting with a larger base and making it smaller as you wind it up.
  5. 5. Then push a skewer through the centre of each ‘tree’.
  6. 6. Brush with melted Stork Country Blend.
  7. 7. Place the trees on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15 minutes at 180°C, or until golden brown.
  8. 8. You can decorate with glacé cherries or sprinkle with fresh herbs and serve immediately.
  9. 9. Enjoy!
